Upcycling & Reassembly with Studio SCHMITD
What do we need our hands for?
Just scrolling, tapping, and swiping? Our hands can do so much more! Feel, cut, sew—experience the joy of creating something tangible. Bring your too-small or boring clothes, and we’ll develop creative ideas to transform them into something fresh. Learn how to design, create and knot. I’d love to guide you through the process of refreshing your wardrobe while embracing the joy and awareness of using pre-loved materials and reducing waste.
The workshop begins with inspiration from previous collections and macramée tops, dresse or accesoires from Studio SCHMITD and SCHMIDTTAKAHASHI. You can draw, sketch, or simply be guided by fabrics and garments. We will either use existing patterns or develop your own, then cut and assemble your personal piece.
I will guide you through the essential technic of macramee knotting and provide you with tips and recommendations along the way. Then, you’ll have the opportunity to bring your own design ideas to life, creating a unique, one-of-a-kind piece.
Materials:
Please bring washed stretchy jersey garments, like „spaghetti“ tops, jersey tops or T-Shirts.
